Changing HOA software usually means someone retypes the association. Owners, doors, balances, vendors. Sometimes that person is a vendor’s implementation team. Sometimes it is the treasurer, at night.
Where the time goes
Retyping is slow, but the real cost is the checking. Every row typed by hand is a row someone has to trust. When the opening total is off by a few hundred dollars, nobody knows which of four hundred rows is wrong.
The order we are building
- Upload what you have. An export, a spreadsheet, or the PDFs.
- The software proposes the mapping. Each row shows where it would go.
- A person approves it. Nothing applies on its own, and an applied import can be undone.
- The totals tie. Opening balances must match what the board expects.
- Then residents are invited. A person sends the invite.
The software does the typing. A person does the judgment. The tie-out is the proof.
What this is not
It is not live yet. It is also not a promise that every PDF reads cleanly. Some rows will need a person to fix them, and the review step is where that happens. The old files stay as the archive instead of being thrown away after the retype.
The tied end state is visible today in the sample association.
